Full-Time Senior Data Engineer / BI Architect (Azure Synapse)

Inetum Norte is looking for a senior specialist in Azure Synapse, with proven experience in corporate data and reporting environments. The selected candidate will participate in strategic projects related to data analysis and exploitation, collaborating with internal and client technical and functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of solutions based on Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Integrate and model data from various sources, including Oracle SQL and other corporate databases.
• Collaborate in the development of dashboards and reporting solutions, preferably with Power BI or similar tools.
• Coordinate tasks and provide technical support to junior team members.
• Interact with client stakeholders, both technical and business, to define requirements, identify improvements, and resolve complex issues.
• Contribute ideas and proposals for the evolution of the client's data analysis and reporting processes.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience (minimum 5 years) in data environments and business intelligence solutions.
• Proficiency in Azure Synapse (including integration with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, etc.).
• Experience in configuring and managing Synapse Workspaces.
• Ability to design and optimize data pipelines.
• Advanced SQL (TL/SQL & PL/SQL): complex queries and performance optimization.
• Data Integration: Experience with Azure Data Factory and other ETL tools.
• Data Modeling: Ability to design efficient database schemas and data normalization.
• Advanced Power BI skills: experience creating reports.
• Cloud Security: implementation of security policies and access management; roles, permissions, and security policies.
• Python knowledge and use of scripts or tools to automate repetitive tasks.

Soft Skills:

• Effective communication: ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Problem-solving skills: ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflicts, and act as a point of reference within the team.
• High level of English (spoken and written) for direct client interaction.

• Critical thinking: evaluation of situations to make informed decisions.
• Time management: ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail: attention to detail to avoid errors in data analysis.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with other data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
• Experience in other cloud environments (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, etc.).
• DevOps or agile methodologies knowledge for data projects.
• Ability to write technical and functional documentation.
