Full-Time Senior Data Engineer (DBA)

Business Unit Mission: M3 Global Research, an M3 company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with DBA expertise to join our data engineering team. This role will focus on building and maintaining robust data pipelines while also managing database administration tasks such as optimization, performance tuning, and security.

The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business objectives and leverage Power BI for data visualization and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Data Engineering Responsibilities:
   • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure data pipelines and ETL processes to efficiently manage and transform data.
   • Lead the architecture and implementation of data models, schemas, and integrations that support business intelligence and reporting needs.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver optimal data solutions that align with business goals.
   • Maintain and enhance data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data lakes, and integration tools.
   • Support Power BI and other visualization tools, ensuring consistent and reliable access to data insights.
2. Database Administration (DBA) Responsibilities:
   • Manage and optimize databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) for performance, security, and availability.
   • Design and maintain database schemas, indexes, and partitions to support scalability and efficiency.
   • Perform database monitoring, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
   • Implement database security best practices, including access control, encryption, and auditing.
   • Troubleshoot database performance issues and optimize query performance.
   • Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and industry standards.
3. General Responsibilities:
   • Provide guidance on best practices for data management, security, and compliance.
   • Oversee the delivery of data initiatives, ensuring they meet project milestones, KPIs, and deadlines.
