About the role
As a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer on Tenderly's Security team, you'll build innovative security products safeguarding critical Web3 protocols. You'll design and scale our infrastructure, using cutting-edge technology to protect users and advance blockchain security.
What you'll do
- Build high-performance systems: Design and scale multi-region backend services powering millions of users in real time. Optimize performance to handle high request volumes (hundreds of thousands per second) and substantial data processing (terabytes). Master trade-offs between consistency, availability, and low latency for millisecond response times.
- Engineer for scale & reliability: Build resilient data pipelines meeting banking-level constraints (consistent, ordered, processed exactly once). Develop real-time streaming solutions with minimal latency, addressing tail latency for a seamless user experience.
- Push boundaries and drive innovation: Analyze malicious code patterns in EVM and Solidity to build cutting-edge detection and prevention solutions. Own high-impact projects involving parallel analysis of terabytes of data to extract address and transaction intelligence.
About You
We seek a highly skilled, forward-thinking engineer proficient in backend development and distributed systems. Experience with blockchain security is a plus.
- Proven expertise in distributed systems, large datasets, and distributed storage.
- Deep understanding of low-latency, high-throughput infrastructure, and multi-region availability.
- Proficiency in Go, Rust, or similar systems programming languages.
- Experience designing complex systems balancing consistency, availability, and massive scale.
- Curiosity about blockchain security, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
