Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for designing innovative solutions in the healthcare sector? As a Senior Electrical Engineer on Olsson's Facilities Engineering and Design team, you'll provide high-level technical support and lead QA/QC activities that drive excellence in healthcare facilities design.
In this role, you'll apply your expertise to independently make recommendations and decisions that enhance the design and functionality of healthcare environments. You'll work on complex projects, develop unique solutions, and ensure designs meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and review of electrical systems for complex healthcare facilities projects.
- Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced electrical engineering concepts to address healthcare environment challenges.
- Perform QA/QC and ensure electrical designs meet project objectives and regulatory standards.
- Conduct research to inform innovative design solutions improving patient care and operational efficiency.
- Advise and direct staff on electrical design approaches to meet project requirements and client expectations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Contribute to development of standards and guidelines for electrical engineering activities.
- Mentor and supervise less experienced staff on technical assignments and career development.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license
- At least 8 years of electrical engineering experience with increasing responsibility, preferably in healthcare facilities design
- Healthcare-related certifications (CHC, Healthcare Physical Environment Worker) are a plus
- Membership in ASHE or equivalent is advantageous
- Experience with National Codes/Standards development and participation in relevant committees is preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in leading complex electrical design projects and providing technical leadership
- Enthusiasm for contributing to the healthcare industry through innovative electrical engineering solutions
