Full-Time Senior Engineer (Power Engineer)

• Designing and reviewing DC power systems.
• Preparing and maintaining detailed engineering documentation.
• Evaluating and standardizing power equipment and configurations.
• Collaborating with teams to align project schedules.
• Supporting installation and commissioning of power systems.
• Ensuring adherence to standards and compliance codes.
• Tracking power capacity, utilization, and redundancy.
• Conducting preventive maintenance programs and power audits.
• Providing input to RFPs and vendor evaluations.
• Conducting load analysis and capacity forecasting.
• Ensuring designs comply with industry standards.
• Defining technical specifications and design criteria.
• Collaborating with external engineers and internal teams.
• Reviewing vendor proposals and evaluating equipment suitability.
• Requisitioning materials and tracking purchase orders.
• Providing technical guidance during installation and commissioning.
• Conducting site surveys and audits.
• Recommending design improvements.

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing DC power systems.
• Strong knowledge of -48V DC systems, grounding, and bonding.
• Proficiency with one-line diagrams and load calculations.
• Familiarity with Telcordia, NEC, OSHA, and industry best practices.
• Understanding of transport and router equipment/technologies.
• Product knowledge of Cisco, Nokia, Ciena, Fujitsu, Calix, and Adtran devices.
• Knowledge of systems/tools such as SAP, IQGeo, CO Power Database, WMS, Service Now, Armor, One Control, Netsmart, TNMS, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong project management, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

• Experience with Vertiv, Emerson, Delta/Eltek, and Alpha power systems.
• Knowledge of central office and OLT/transport infrastructure.
• Familiarity with remote monitoring and SNMP-based alarm systems.
• Understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
