The Role: This pivotal leadership role will shape the Finance team and establish the FP&A function. Reporting to the CFO, you'll build and scale FP&A while developing the processes, systems, and strategies to support company growth and ensure long-term financial health. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact our work as we scale.
Responsibilities:
- Support executive team in understanding financial implications of strategic decisions.
- Build long-range plans and size strategic initiatives with department leaders.
- Oversee annual budget process, track performance, and manage rolling forecasts focusing on operational excellence.
- Improve operating teams' understanding of financial statements and budget adherence through transparent analysis.
- Establish, track, and monitor operational KPIs to drive efficiency and alignment with company goals.
- Define and report on critical business metrics, analyze trends, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform strategy, improve efficiency, and maximize ROI.
- Partner with operating teams to deliver recommendations supporting revenue growth, profitability, and efficiency.
- Prepare Board of Directors meeting materials accurately and clearly.
- Continuously enhance FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Work closely with CFO to develop and execute financial strategies, initiatives, and key investments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in growing organizations.
- Advanced knowledge of Google ecosystem (super-user proficiency in Google Sheets).
- Advanced understanding of GAAP financial statements.
- Forward-thinking problem-solving skills with a knack for executing with precision.
- Strong ability to connect financial data to strategic objectives and communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coding experience (e.g., Java, Python).
- Manufacturing finance experience.
- Exposure to public company requirements.
