Oscar is hiring a Senior Manager, FP&A to join our FP&A team.
About the role
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis owns broad strategic financial planning, analytics, and business insights for important departments.
Supports Leadership in building opportunities and plans to achieve near, mid, and long-term topline and margin targets.
Creates new processes, reporting, and guidelines to ensure visibility into patterns and projections, and presents findings to senior leadership.
Work Location: Oscar has a blended work culture.
If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office, Tempe office, or Los Angeles office, you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week.
Otherwise, this is a remote/work-from-home role.

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role in select states is: $131,200 - $172,200 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $118,080 - $154,980 per year.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct financial support to departmental business leaders.
- Set Operating Plan and Strategy targets.
- Evaluate multiple business cases.
- Track actuals versus expectations.
- Identify, validate, execute, and track programs that improve overall financial performance.
- Prepare initiative Return on investment (ROI).
- Recommend prioritization framework.
- Quantify initiative impact.
- Validate economics of proposed strategic transactions.
- Propose new and improve existing FP&A processes.
- Evaluate and present monthly and quarterly financial results.
- Partner with departmental teams to lead best financial results.
- Improve process improvements.
- Automate monthly reporting.
- Compliance with all applicable laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of finance experience including FP&A experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, pro forma analysis, short-term and long-term planning.
- 4+ years of experience serving as a partner to C-level executives.
- Bonus points: MBA, MS in Financial Analysis, Experience in managed care, healthcare, or insurance.
- Proficiency in SQL/BigQuery.
- Proficiency working with NetSuite and Adaptive.
- Experience in FP&A functions in Healthcare, Insurance, or Financial Services.
