The Market Research team is dedicated to deeply understanding consumers, their relationship and perceptions of Instacart and how their needs and behaviors around online grocery are evolving. We generate insights that inform both marketing and broader company strategy.
We’re looking for a Senior Market Researcher to help deepen our understanding of what consumers care about, their motivations and how these translate to compelling brand and product experiences.
About the Job
- Be a strategic partner to our brand and product marketing teams by being the voice of the consumer to inform brand, go-to-market and creative strategy
- Enable decision-making by translating insights about consumer and market needs into strategic recommendations
- Proactively define and execute an end-to-end research plan based on business objectives and key research questions
- Execute both qualitative and quantitative research including creative testing, messaging and positioning research, utilizing our research tools/platforms and working with vendors
- Utilize a wide range of storytelling techniques and communicate research insights in a clear, opinionated, and compelling way that influences and leads to action
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in market / marketing research industry
- Comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and clarify their research questions and scope to translate into appropriate research methodology
- Track record of influencing marketing decision-makers through actionable recommendations based on insights and data
- Understanding across a range of qualitative and quantitative methods and experience in conducting hands-on research, including questionnaire design, survey programming, data analysis, and report development
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to effectively work with third-party vendors, manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- You take initiative, are continuously collaborative and thrive in a fast-paced environment
