Join our team as a Senior Software Support Engineer and become a pivotal part of a leading data virtualization software provider transforming business data access and management globally.

Your Role and Impact

As a Senior Software Support Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in proactive and reactive service delivery. You should possess strong technical skills and familiarity with our technology to solve complex software problems.

Responsibilities

  • SaaS Support: Handle customer inquiries via Intercom, providing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support.
  • CData Virtuality Platform Support: Provide support to EU and US customers, focusing on ticket-based troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • SaaS Monitoring: Identify and address incidents proactively using monitoring systems and tools.
  • Setup and Operations: Set up, configure, and manage cloud environments. Perform software updates/upgrades on customer machines (remote via RDP and SSH). Support software and server operations.

Must-have Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and English fluency.
  • Self-organized, highly motivated, and responsible.
  • Empathetic with an analytical approach.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and an inquiring mindset.
  • Understanding of database technology and Linux.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ability to debug source code.
  • Experience in software support/consulting or comparable function.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and understanding documentation.
  • Ability to simplify complex topics and work independently under pressure.
  • Experience with SLA-bound operations and screen-sharing/phone support.
  • Familiarity with bug trackers, Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure), and container platforms.
