The Team This role will be a part of the Security Engineering Org that reports to the Senior Manager of Public Cloud Security Engineering. The security engineering team targets building state-of-the-art technology that will help reduce the risk surrounding the sensitive assets of the company with the least impact possible on operations, acts as guidance and facilitator to the security operations teams and helps shifting Security perception from blocker to enabler by building a relationship of trust with the other teams.
The Role The Sr Staff Cloud Security Engineer (Team Lead) will play a technical lead role in the ServiceNow Public Cloud Security Engineering team responsible for engineering solutions to secure ServiceNow Public Cloud across all major CSPs - Azure, AWS and GCP. You will ensure the team uses leading industry practices and cutting-edge solutions to secure ServiceNow’s public cloud footprint.

- Lead and mentor a team of cloud security engineers
- Influence key technical decisions and drive cross functional execution to build and manage cutting-edge security solutions

- Strategically addresses global events and trends that impact the industry and challenges org to address issues using a broad global view
To be successful in this role you have:
- Master’s degree in computer science; engineering, or information technology with 12+ years of proven, related experience is required
- Extensive knowledge of multiple public Clouds like AWS, Azure & GCP foundation services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration, security, deployment and management, automation technologies
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Linux, UNIX, and Windows)
- In-depth knowledge of networking (routing, switching, load-balancing, intrusion detection systems and firewalls)
- Proficient in programming languages and scripting (Java Script, Python, Bash, C/C++)
- Experience in infrastructure automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform and equivalents
- Experience with containerization on Cloud, AKS or EKS (Dedicated/Managed/Serverless Kubernetes)
- Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management
- Design security architecture for hybrid clouds
- Automating operations and capacity planning
