Senior Systems Engineer

The Managed Services team is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to build and maintain flexible systems supporting our clients. You'll support our market-leading eCommerce and Digital Presence infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain server infrastructure (Windows & Linux, serverless).
• Support and maintain client systems & infrastructure.
• Implement and manage ITIL processes (incidents, changes, and problems).
• Provide timely incident resolution and documentation in the ticketing system.
• Develop and maintain change management documentation, implementation, and backout plans.
• Participate in problem resolution sessions to address recurring and critical incidents.
• Research and develop new infrastructure technologies.
• Support various platforms (eCommerce, Content Management, Data integration, custom systems).
• Perform routine tasks related to client systems.
• Monitor and respond to infrastructure anomalies; on-call rotation.
• Improve monitoring and reporting.
• Develop automation for server provisioning and deployment.
• Collaborate with developers to solve infrastructure issues and mentor others.
• Troubleshoot incidents and platform problems.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Windows PowerShell and Linux shell.
• Expert knowledge of web technologies (servers, DNS, SSL, browsers).
• Working knowledge of web development processes (source control, deployment).
• Experience in improving workflows and optimizing tasks.
• Experience deploying and maintaining cloud technologies in larger systems.
• Understanding of security implications of architecture decisions.
• Practical knowledge of Azure and AWS services.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Beneficial Skills:

• ITIL certification
• Experience in an ITIL environment.
• Experience with eCommerce servers (e.g., Hybris, Magento 2, Drupal)
• Experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., Drupal, AEM)
• Load testing, pen testing, and cloud security.
• Experience administering and using monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Splunk, Sumo Logic).
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud).
• Working knowledge of specific languages or platforms (e.g., Hybris, Drupal, AEM, Magento 2, Fusion, React; Java, JavaScript, C#/.NET, PHP).
