The Senior Technical Integration Consultant works directly with customers and members of our Business-to-Business (B2B) consulting team to deploy solutions supporting clients' business and technology needs.
Collaborates closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Junior Consultants to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience with IBM B2B Integrator / Sterling File Gateway suite of products.
- Installation & configuration of multi-node architecture environments, including upgrades & platform migrations.
- IBM B2B Integrator / Sterling File Gateway maintenance & administration.
- Business process orchestration.
- Building & deploying custom Services, Adapters, & Protocols.
- Data translation using IBM B2B Integrator maps (e.g., XML to Flat File).
- Familiarity with: Server operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows), Virtualized servers & hosted server architectures, Cloud (IBM/Amazon/Azure/GCP) based deployment architecture, SDLC, industry-standard communication protocols (e.g., AS2, SFTP, HTTP/S, FTP/S), security standards (PGP/GPG, SSL certificates, SSH), Relationship database management systems (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle, DB2), LDAP & integrated authentication, System & port architecture, EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT), Managed File Transfer (MFT), Enterprise Application Integration (EAI).
- Preferred Skills: IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, IBM Sterling External Authentication Server, IBM Control Center, IBM Transformation Extender/Advanced, IBM Connect Direct, Java extensibility in IBM Sterling Integrator, Web Services, RESTful APIs, experience in a professional consulting setting, Cloud virtual infrastructure sizing & performance tuning.
Responsibilities:
- Document business needs and translate requirements into technology solutions.
- Define project timelines & tasks with dependencies & priorities.
- Delegate tasks & be accountable for completion.
- Create, maintain, & report on tasks, communicate concerns/recommendations.
- Contribute to project(s), mentor junior team members.
- Define, estimate, build, & test solution artifacts.
- Create & maintain client deliverables (e.g., design specifications, architecture diagrams, installation guides, status updates).
- Provide accurate & proactive time/expense entry & reporting.
- Offer support across the organization.
- Seek & identify opportunities to improve the organization.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - Business or Technology, or equivalent experience.
