About the Role:
We're looking for a technical writer to contribute to documentation for our Bridge CLI client and the associated plugins. The Bridge documentation team explains to customers how to put software testing into continuous integration pipelines.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Explaining the process effectively means performing the steps themselves, so team members have to know how to set up pipelines in GitHub, GitLab, Azure, and Jenkins (or be able to learn it quickly).
Qualifications:
- At least five years as a technical writer.
- Experience with at least one programming language.
- Comfortable in the command-line or (even better) familiar with Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with source control with Git (or a similar SCM tool) and GitLab (or a similar platform such as GitHub, BitBucket, etc.).
- Knowledge of automation workflows/pipelines on GitHub, GitLab, Azure, or Jenkins.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with SaaS-based integrated product documentation and help pages.
- Ability to take technical concepts and translate them into documentation consumed by non-technical users.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think about and improve the user experience.
- Familiarity with application security software.
- Experience with open-source libraries.
- Experience with API documentation.
- Experience with other developer-facing documentation, like SDKs and command-line tools.
- Familiarity with Zoomin documentation portal.
- Experience working with DITA (create ditamaps, task, concept, reference topics, keydefs, use ditaval).
