Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Writer, you will independently manage and deliver high-quality documentation projects, showcasing expertise in QAD products and user-focused writing. You will mentor and supervise a team of technical writers, training junior staff to optimize workflow and adherence to SOPs.

- Demonstrate expertise in QAD products and user-focused writing.
- Mentor and supervise technical writers, training junior staff.
- Create, merge, and maintain structured product documentation and release posts.
- Guide improvements to documentation content and processes.
- Ensure well-organized product documentation using industry best practices.
- Take full ownership of assigned documentation projects.
- Create or improve text, such as field labels and error messages.
- Conduct effective reviews of other technical writers' content.
- Deeply understand product technology and features.
- Become a subject matter expert in assigned QAD products/technologies.
- Contribute to evolving the company culture and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional teams.
- Act as technical writing lead for assigned projects/products.
- Mentor other writers regarding best practices.
- Be available to interview potential technical writing candidates.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in technical writing or related field.
- 4+ years of focused technical writing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Engineering, or Computer Science (preferred).
- Advanced/Conversational English.
- Certifications in Technical Writing, UX Writing, etc. (nice-to-have).
- Advanced skills in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets), Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Oxygen Editor, ePublisher, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, WalkMe, and other DAPs.
- Advanced experience with CCMS (Cloud/SaaS and OnPrem) and CDP (SaaS).
- Advanced experience with API/Developer documentation, XML (DITA and/or DocBook), and structured authoring.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service communication skills.
- Experience in peer reviewing/editing (a plus).
- Experience working with global and multicultural remote teams (a plus).
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and improve current standards/processes.
