Full-Time Senior Technical Writer

Sinch ClickSend is a global cloud-based SaaS communications platform for businesses and developers. It enables companies to communicate with customers and staff via multiple channels (SMS, MMS, RCS, Email, Voice, Fax, Post).

We are looking for a Senior Documentation Specialist/ Technical Writer to write, maintain, and publish user-friendly documentation for our Communications API and Design System.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with developers to understand the ClickSend API and supporting products.
• Collaborate with the developer community to understand needs and ensure documentation aligns with industry standards.
• Own and manage API documentation, ensuring a consistent format and meeting customer expectations.
• Write accessible and engaging documentation from complex technical information.
• Provide code snippets and technical content for the developer portal.
• Advocate for technical users and participate in customer-centric research.
• Assess current technical content and develop innovative improvement approaches.
• Aid in the creation and maintenance of a company-wide design system.
• Collaborate with brand copywriters for consistent tone-of-voice.
• Make critical decisions and establish documentation strategies for accurate and timely information.
• Facilitate technical training for internal teams on API and related topics.
• Support internal teams with better documentation tools, processes, and strategies.

Skills and Attributes:

• 4-7 years of experience writing technical documentation for diverse audiences.
• Experience gathering technical information from engineering teams and communicating it effectively.
• Ability to present insights and data clearly.
• Excellent written, verbal, and grammatical communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with APIs or API documentation.
• Prior development experience (front-end or back-end languages).
• Ability to self-manage, work independently, and meet deadlines.
