Software Engineer III Job Description

EasyPost, a YC unicorn, seeks a talented Software Engineer III to join our growing team. Our mission is to simplify shipping for businesses. We provide a developer-friendly REST API.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Maintain high code quality and integrity.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers.
• Assist in project planning and meet timelines.
• Provide technical support to customers via various channels.
• Demonstrate software to stakeholders and customers.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Handle escalations from Tier 2 Support.
• Be a strong collaborator within a small team.

Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications:

• 5+ years of related experience
• Technically inclined
• Strong quantitative thinking and quick learning
• Proficient in at least one programming language (C++, C#, Delphi, Java)
• Experience with database technologies (SQL)
• Experience with APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML)
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Second language is a plus

Compensation: $127,000 - $167,000 per year
