Full-Time Solution Architect IT Infrastructure

Planning the further development and optimization of the system landscape. Ensuring the high availability of the infrastructure and virtualization server systems.

Main tasks, roles and responsibilities:

1. Ensuring high availability and further development of the VMware virtualization environment
2. Management of the company-wide Active Directory environment
3. Management of the MS Exchange mail environment for all three KOSTAL world regions
4. Creation of the strategy for the operation of the MS Windows server environment
5. Management of the operations team in the KBS organization for the above mentioned areas
6. Handover and training of roles to the service desk, as well as monitoring of the service
7. 2nd level support in case of problems and malfunctions of the IT infrastructure
8. Creation and monitoring of access control concepts
9. Ensuring the availability of the required documentation
10. Supporting IT projects during all project phases and ensuring a smooth transition into operations
11. Definition and monitoring of KPIs
12. Support for internal and external auditing
13. In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, virtualization and network configurations
14. Working with management to develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve data center performance and scalability.
15. Work closely with the data center team leader to stay informed of all operational activities and proactively identify and resolve any issues or concerns that arise.
16. Defining and selecting new hardware, including virtualization platforms, required for data center operations, taking into account standards and integration into the system landscape.
17. Ensure that IT operations are secure and compliant and proactively managed for risk
18. Coordinating with cross-functional teams to support projects and ensure seamless service delivery in data center operations
19. Support server installation of hardware and software, maintenance, including experience in error analysis and troubleshooting
20. Experience with management tools and software for data center
21. Responding quickly to technical problems and emergencies to ensure minimal downtime and disruption
