Full-Time Solutions Architect

As a Solution Architect at YIT, you will be responsible for designing and implementing IT solutions that enhance our financial processes.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions align with our business goals and needs.

Main responsibilities

• Analyze the business needs and challenges of our stakeholders and propose effective and efficient solutions that align with their goals and vision.
• Design and document the solution architecture, including the technical, functional, and non-functional aspects, using industry standards and best practices.
• Lead and support implementation of solution architecture for a given initiative that complies with enterprise reference architectures, principles and guidelines including e.g. integrations and APIs. You assure quality and especially cybersecurity done by vendors.
• Understand existing enterprise technologies e.g. Microsoft D365FO, Anaplan and other standard applications, as well as how to apply new technologies as needed.
• Work in close co-operation with Finance function, IT application teams, Enterprise and Technology Architects and with vendors.
• Understand business drivers and problems to be solved by a given solution.
• Assess existing and future solutions requirements and support vendor selection.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure the alignment and integration of the solution architecture with the enterprise architecture.
• Provide guidance and support to the development teams throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring the adherence to the solution architecture and the quality of the deliverables.
• Maintain Finance domain roadmap, conduct research and evaluation of new technologies and trends, and recommend improvements and enhancements to the existing solutions and architectures.

What we expect from you

• Master of Science or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Good understanding of Finance domain and processes, and a capability to have a productive dialogue with Finance function.
• Experience in MS D365FO, as well as working within integrated solution architecture where several applications have strong dependencies.
• Skilled in translating business requirements into IT solutions and comfortable engaging with international stakeholders.
• Proficient in documenting IT solutions for diverse audiences and maintaining clear communication.
• Agile mindset with a strong emphasis on driving Quality Assurance and adhering to security and GDPR standards. Experience with SAFe Agile development methodologies is an advantage.
• Experience in hands-on development is seen as an advantage, as well as fluency in Finnish and English.
