Full-Time Sr Director of AI Ethics

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Director of AI Ethics and Data Governance, a crucial role spearheading the strategic evolution and operationalization of data governance and AI ethics.

As a key influencer, you'll shape ServiceNow's AI Ethics and data governance strategy, ensuring responsible data use and AI governance while enabling innovation.

You'll partner with senior leaders to operationalize AI ethics and data governance policies.

• Provide strategic counsel on Data Governance and AI Governance Models.
• Advise the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer on AI & Data Ethics.
• Lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
• Evolve data governance strategy to align with ServiceNow's objectives and data ethics principles.
• Collaborate with partners to understand and advocate for AI Governance, Ethics, and Responsibility, building user trust and ensuring compliance.
• Foster a culture of data responsibility and compliance by promoting data literacy.
• Champion innovation in data governance practices, addressing emerging challenges.
• Offer thought-leadership on data governance best practices and responsible AI.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years experience in legal position focusing on data governance OR advanced degree with 10+ years experience.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the data ecosystem (architectures, infrastructure, frameworks, warehousing, quality, stewardship).
• Proven ability to translate knowledge into enterprise-wide data governance strategies integrating data ethics.
• Expertise in developing and implementing adaptable data governance frameworks for large organizations.
• Expertise in navigating the evolving AI regulatory landscape for compliant data governance practices and risk mitigation.
• Proven expertise in developing solutions for enterprise data governance challenges (MDM, data lake governance, data mesh).
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, business acumen, and business judgment.
• Exceptional communication skills (one-on-one, groups, internal, external).
