As a Sr. JAMF Engineer you will be responsible for deploying, managing, and maintaining Apple devices within our client organization using the JAMF Pro platform. This role involves the configuration of devices, application deployment, security compliance, troubleshooting, and ensuring that all Apple hardware and software systems operate smoothly and efficiently across the organization.
Experience Must Haves
- JAMF Pro Management: You will have deep experience in administering and configuring JAMF Pro environments to manage macOS and iOS devices.
- Device Deployment: You will have implemented zero-touch deployment processes for new devices using Apple s Automated MDM Enrollment (DEP) and JAMF Pro
- Scripting & Automation: You will have created and managed scripts (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation of device management tasks, software installation, and system updates.
- Application Management: You will have owned packaging, deploying, and updating applications using JAMF Pro, including managing software licensing and ensuring compliance.
- Security Compliance: You will have been responsible for enforcing security policies and configurations (e.g., FileVault, firewall, encryption, etc.) and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Patch Management: You will be a master at administering operating system and application patching processes, ensuring devices are up-to-date and secure.
- User Support: Your communication and service skills are deeply embedded talents. You provide technical support that your customers rave about. You are particularly adept at supporting macOS and iOS users, troubleshooting issues related to system performance, software installation, and network connectivity.
- System Monitoring & Reporting: You have provided regular monitoring of device health, usage, and compliance, providing detailed reports and insights to management.
- Network: You will have experience with network troubleshooting and VPN configurations.
- Problem Solving & Judgment: You have multiple examples where your strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team enabled high-quality and responsive outcomes for your customers and team.
- Certifications: JAMF 300 certifications. Note: If you have certifications listed on your resume, please be sure to provide details or links to verify the certification award.
Experience Should Haves
- Documentation: You have developed and maintained detailed documentation for device management processes, configuration standards, and troubleshooting guides.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: You have conducted training sessions and knowledge sharing for IT staff and end-users on best practices for using Apple devices in the workplace.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Enterprise Level: Your experience within JAMF Pro and managing Apple devices will have at lease one enterprise level experience.
- Security Standards: Familiarity with security standards and protocols (encryption, MDM security frameworks, etc.).
Experience Like to Haves
- Knowledge of additional device management platforms or systems (e.g., Intune, SCCM).
- Understanding of Active Directory integration with Apple devices.
- Familiarity with Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager.
