Full-Time Sr. Manager Renewable Energy Investments

Candidate ProfileThis is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. You will drive investment strategy, overseeing financial and investment activities (financial strategy & advisory, M&A, project & portfolio modeling, investment planning). Ideal candidate has 5+ years US renewable energy finance experience, expertise in project/tax equity financing, investment analysis, corporate valuations, and M&A.

Position & ImpactShape investment strategy, from new opportunities to portfolio risk management. Collaborate with department heads, provide investment metrics, insights on capital allocation, returns, and valuations. Conduct research for Board inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Financial Modeling Efforts: Oversee financial models (unlevered/levered), pricing strategies, valuation models, tax equity structuring.
2. Team Leadership: Manage & mentor analyst team, ensuring workflow, cross-divisional collaboration, and robust training programs.
3. M&A Leadership: Deputy of the M&A working group, shape buy-side strategies, manage project/portfolio launches, marketing materials, and valuation analyses. Own due diligence, valuations, and risk assessments for sell-side M&A. Lead all aspects of buy-side/sell-side financial modeling & marketing.
4. Transactional Expertise: Draft/review M&A documentation (term sheets, definitive agreements), manage key counterparty relationships.
5. Advisory Leadership: Guide Development team on project investments, capital deployment, and return optimization for projects (legacy/new). Subject matter expert on the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
6. Company Representation: Collaborate with C-suite, parent company Board, and stakeholders for research, analysis, and reporting on M&A activities. Represent company at industry conferences/events.

Requirements

• 5+ years project finance, corporate or investment finance within the US renewable energy industry.
• Strong financial modeling experience, including levered models for project finance.
• Tax equity modeling and applied knowledge is a plus.
