Senior Project Manager, Clinical Projects

This position requires on-site 2-3 days per week.

Supports multiple Clinical/Ancillary projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Manages clinical projects integrating Clinical Operations and IT support to deliver technology for business/clinical benefit. Includes all project management activities (project development, schedule creation, WBS development, budget management, contract negotiations, monitoring deliverables, risk assessment, scope & change management, issue management, status reporting, resource management, training, communication, go-live, transition planning, value realization, lessons learned).
• Project Management Approach: Guides stakeholders and team members through the project lifecycle; ensures effective resource utilization.
• Vendor Management: Manages vendor relationships including contract reconciliation, maintenance agreements, enhancements, issue escalation, and partnership agreements.
• General Leadership & Direction: Analyses, selects, designs, and implements IT solutions meeting information security and compliance.
• Project Portfolio Management: Prepares and presents portfolio, program, and project status updates; monitors portfolio and recommends strategies to resolve resource conflicts.
• Project/Program Portfolio Management: Assists in IT PMO governance value assessment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Project/Program Management, IT Planning: Prepares and presents portfolio, program, and project status updates to stakeholders; assists in monitoring and recommending strategies for major resource conflicts
• Functional Responsibilities:
• Provides administrative PM support; tracks schedules, monitors artifacts.
• Prepares Project Status Reports/Updates, Maintains Project Dashboard.
• Main point of contact for all project issues; collaborates with business owners to communicate and resolve.
• Leads and manages all aspects of the project implementation lifecycle (proof of concept, business case/justification, ESC/board approval, RFI/RFQ/RFP, implementation strategies, requirements, integration, reporting/metrics, gap analysis, cost, OCM Plan, QA/Testing, Training)
• Controls, directs, and influences stakeholders.
• Manages multiple concurrent projects.
• Maintains timely communications between all parties.
• Delivers projects under budget, resource, and time constraints.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years managing complex strategic IT programs and projects in healthcare (recent 5 years preferred).
• 5+ years Cerner experience/knowledge.
• 5+ years net new project implementations.
• 5+ years project management experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Contract/contract-to-hire.
