What you'll do Kentik is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Cloud) to join our Product Engineering team.
- Build and maintain Synthetics and Cloud product lines.
- Manage cloud applications using observability tooling.
- Adhere to configuration as code best practices.
- Work with engineering teams on infrastructure growth.
- Ensure real-time, scalable infrastructure efficiency.
- Monitor platform and ensure stability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for solutions.
- Assist with cloud deployments.
- Contribute code, code reviews, tools, or patches.
- Write design documents or help colleagues.
- Provide feedback on team goals, projects, and processes.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of experience in cloud-based Systems Administration, IT, or SRE.
- Strong experience with public cloud, container, and orchestration technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Solid programming and automation skills (Bash, Python, Go).
- Experience with configuration management (infrastructure as code) platforms (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
- Experience with *nix system command line (e.g. ssh, grep, awk).
- Detailed understanding of major internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS).
- Networking administration experience (routing, firewalls).
- Passion for documenting code, processes, and infrastructure.
- Experience with metrics monitoring solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, OpenTelemetry).
- Experience with third-party vendor tickets and cloud vendor relationships.
Nice to haves
- Familiarity with Kubernetes orchestration and automation tools (Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, Flux).
- Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Earthly, Jenkins).
- Exposure to PagerDuty Integrations.
- Knowledge of SRE, DevOps, and GitOps practices.

Compensation $159,000 - $215,000 (US).
