What you get to do in this role: The Customer Outcomes team at ServiceNow works with customers to help them achieve their business outcomes by providing prescriptive guidance. You will work with customers to drive consumption, adoption, and customer satisfaction and help customers grow their business on the ServiceNow platform. The Sr. Technical Consultant is the functional and technical expert of a customer engagement team, consulting with customers and configuring ServiceNow products based on best practices to accelerate customer business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as technical expert supporting configuration of ServiceNow Service Delivery for specific areas (e.g., IT, HR).
- Supporting engagements with process definition, re-engineering, improvement, and gap analysis during customer workshops.
- Advising customers on utilizing ServiceNow standard capabilities to improve processes.
- Leading customer design workshops focused on ServiceNow Platform and Solution technology.
- Guiding customers in documenting technical aspects of the solution (e.g., business requirements).
- Preparing user stories, acceptance criteria, testing strategies, and knowledge transfer.
- Guiding and training future system administrators.
- Leading technical aspects of project delivery, including overseeing partner resource development.
- Being a lead member of engagement teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Developing integrations (e.g., SSO, LDAP).
- Developing portal components.
- Creating high-quality customer-facing deliverables.
- Managing multiple complex projects and initiatives.
- Promoting continuous improvement for delivery materials.
- Supporting sales activities as needed.
- Providing training and mentoring to team members.
- Travel up to 50%.
Required Skills and Experience:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
- Solution-Specific Certified Implementation Specialist designations (e.g., CIS-ITSM, CIS-HRSD, CIS-CSM)
- 8+ years of configuration/development experience with complex technologies (integrations, portals)
- Demonstrated ability to consult and influence stakeholders in [IT/HR/Customer Service] environments.
- Experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.) and SaaS technologies.
- Strong understanding of leading [IT/HR/Customer Service] systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP).
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus, and cultural sensitivity.
- Proven team player and team builder.
