Full-Time Sub Editor - Magazines & Supplements

You will work within the Production Department to ensure all copy is fact-checked and grammatically correct, adhering to house style. Ensure content is engaging, entertaining and original.

Rewrite copy when necessary, credit pictures correctly. Write accurate captions for pages, ensuring navigation is easy to follow.

Create punchy headlines, standfirsts and pull quotes, correctly crediting pictures. Help maintain and communicate clear brand identities for all magazine titles.

Typical shift: Monday to Friday, 10am - 6pm, though flexibility is required around busy press days.

Required skills and experience:

• Exceptional NCTJ qualified journalist and experienced sub editor.
• Proven track record of subbing celebrity-focused content, ideally in a fast-paced weekly magazine environment.
• Excellent understanding of OK!, New! Notebook, S and Love Sunday brands.
• Demonstrable experience subbing print content, first-class copy-editing skills.
• Ability to keep up with the pace of subbing multiple magazines a week.
• Quick and accurate fact-checking, meeting deadlines with ease.
