System Administrator
Position Summary
As a System Administrator in our North American Driver and Vehicle Solutions (DVIS) group, you will manage, maintain, and support systems underpinning driver information system solutions for US customers.
Responsibilities
- System Installation, Configuration and Virtualization: Install, configure, and virtualize server hardware. Install/configure operating systems, software, and network settings. Write deployment scripts for consistent hardware/platform deployment. Develop new solutions based on customer requirements.
- System Maintenance: Proactively monitor system performance, ensure IT service reliability/availability. Tune-up OS, deploy updates/patches. Modify scripts for security compliance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose/resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Respond to system outages, perform necessary repairs.
- User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Provide technical support/training to users.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement/maintain backup solutions (RDBMS replication, recovery, failover). Develop/test disaster recovery plans.
- Network Management: Configure/maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls). Ensure network security, manage VPNs.
- Security Management: Monitor/enforce security policies. Conduct security audits/vulnerability assessments.
- Documentation: Document system configurations, procedures, and changes. Maintain IT asset/inventory records.
- Collaboration: Work with CBN and customer IT staff/departments for projects/initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding IT needs.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with CBN/customer IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) or equivalent work experience
- Certifications (CISSP, LPIC, ITIL, VCP, MCSE, OCA/OCP 12c) are assets but not required
- Knowledge of: Active Directory, Virtualization, Basic IT Security principles (TLS, encryption), ITIL processes, IT auditing
- 5+ years of system administration experience

Mandatory Requirements
