Requirements

1. Maintenance and management of Windows Server OS platforms, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of the operating system and applications.
2. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software, such as SAN systems, hypervisors, and backup systems.
3. Administration and maintenance of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
4. Administration of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, including the design, configuration, and support of virtual environments.
5. Provisioning and management of cloud-based resources, such as Azure, including monitoring and optimizing performance and availability.
6. Troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues related to servers, applications, and infrastructure.
7. Collaboration with other teams, such as network and security teams, to ensure the smooth operation of the entire IT environment.
8. Development and maintenance of system documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.

What you'll bring:

• Expertise in Microsoft Windows server operating systems, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
• Proficiency in hardware and software configuration, installation, and administration in a Wintel environment.
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Knowledge and experience of scripting languages such as PowerShell to automate tasks and improve system management.
• Familiarity with server hardware technologies and configurations, including RAID, SAN, and NAS.
• Several years of experience in Wintel systems engineering, including deploying, and maintaining small to large-scale systems.
• Experience with server migrations and upgrades, including hardware and software changes.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution, including backup and restore processes.
• Demonstrated experience in configuring and administering various infrastructure technologies such as storage, databases, and middleware.
• Familiarity with security concepts and protocols such as encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Certifications in the above technologies are highly desirable.
