Full-Time Systems Engineer Level II

The Infrastructure Support Engineer works with the administration and management of essential operational elements within an organization to effectively, efficiently, and proactively utilize technology, information, and data.

Responsibilities:

• Provides Level 2 Technical Support
• Deploys updates and fixes
• Administers and monitors Windows and Linux platforms (server OS to application)
• Builds and strengthens relationships with infrastructure leads and teams
• Administers Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform
• Participates in incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems, driving production improvements
• Supports IIS and Tomcat applications
• Promotes continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across IT
• Provides guidance to teams on enabling and managing end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services
• Builds automation to eliminate waste, manual tasks, and prevent problem recurrence
• Supports team in monitoring servers and alerting on issues
• Administers databases (SQL Server, SQL Management Instance, Snowflake)
• Maintains Windows Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
• Has working knowledge of technology solutions, practices, and methods in AWS, Azure, Windows/Linux, and IT tools (monitoring, logging, alerting, ServiceNow, etc.)
• Demonstrates strategic problem-solving, analytical skills, and a sense of urgency
• Demonstrated experience in a production environment
• Possesses basic oral and written communication skills
• Measures and continuously improves in all areas, with a metrics & reporting mindset
• Has working knowledge of databases and SQL
• Understands Linux and Windows infrastructure
• Working knowledge of Group Policy, DNS, IIS, and DHCP
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds or Dynatrace)
• Experience with virtualization applications (Citrix)
• Experience documenting processes and procedures for software applications and implementations
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools is a plus

Qualifications:

• 4-year college degree in Information Technology or a related field
