Full-Time Technical Director: Electrical

We are looking to reinforce our Electrical Team with the appointment of a Lead Electrical Engineer who has very strong Data Centre and Leadership Experience.

• Key Technical Competencies and Generic Skills:
• Generally fulfilling the functions of the Engineer on various construction projects
• Function as the Engineer in terms of FIDIC, NEC and GDD Contracts, the Principal Agent and/or Engineer in terms of JBCC Contracts
• Overseeing and ensuring project execution approval with utility owners and authorities
• Overseeing and delivering on Contract Management and Construction monitoring
• Preparation of Budgets and Cost Estimates (Feasibility, Conceptual, Detail Design)
• Preparation of BOQ’s, Tender and Contract Documentation
• Ensuring client protection in Construction Contracts, sign-off and acceptance by applicable authority
• Resource planning for multiple projects
• Periodic reporting on program, financial management
• Efficient financial and scope management
• Ensure all parties are aware of scope of works, contract requirements
• Efficient document control
• Manage project execution to achieve client goals
• Adherence to WSP quality and site management system (audits and documentation)
• Effectively dealing with contractual matters (contractor claims, variation orders)
• Efficient close out of all construction projects
• Close-Out (ECSA guidelines or specific client services)
• Efficient close out of construction project documentation (lessons learnt and handover)

Qualifications:

• BSc or BEng Engineering (Electrical) Degree
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.)
• Minimum 10 years Consulting Engineering experience in the Property Sector
• Experience on Projects in Africa
• Project Management experience beneficial
• Minimum 5 Years Mission Critical Experience
