Full-Time Technical Support Engineer

Technical Support Engineer for Mirantis products and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support (via portal, phone, remote, email) for Mirantis Products.
• Assist customers with upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering team: report bugs, request new features.
• Contribute to the Knowledge Base for customers and team.
• Properly manage workload to handle customer requests promptly.
• Occasionally work weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

• 4+ years software engineering experience.
• 1-2+ years technical support/engineering experience.
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of distributed/large-scale systems.
• Good knowledge of Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP/Openstack) and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to read and understand Python and GO code, good shell scripting skills.
• Effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills in English and Japanese.

Nice to Haves:

• Expert understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Good knowledge of REST API.
• Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking and Load Balancing Technologies.
• Experience configuring, customizing, and extending Logging and Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ElasticSearch, Kibana).
• Experience with Rook and Ceph.
