Technical Support Specialist Role
Provide amazing support to clients, exceeding expectations.
Escalate Issues: Escalate customer support requirements, communicating criticality and timeliness, and confirm issue acceptance.
Hardware Setup: Prepare desktops, laptops, and other hardware for customers.
Maintain Documentation: Keep customer documentation accurate and up-to-date.
Project Commitments: Deliver operational and project commitments, utilizing the entire customer team as necessary.
Customer Maintenance: Perform customer maintenance activities.
Alert Monitoring: Monitor customer alerts and respond appropriately.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members.
Organization & Prioritization: Demonstrate organization, prioritization, planning, and timely delivery.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent Communication & Customer Service Skills (written and oral)
- Technical Explanations: Explain technical challenges and solutions to various audiences.
- On-call Availability: Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Specialist or similar role. Experience with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Servers: Active Directory, File Permissions, Domain, Backups, Antivirus
- Network: Firewalls, Switches, Wireless, Voice, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN
- Computers: Computer Replacement, IPCONFIG, Joining to Domain, Printer Installs, Antivirus
- User Support: User Profile Migrations, Outlook Setup, Mobile Device Setup (email)
- Applications: Office 365, SharePoint, QuickBooks
