As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating, organizing, and publishing clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and customer-facing teams to create high-quality documentation that helps users understand and effectively use EngFlow’s products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, tutorials, and FAQs.
- Organize and structure documentation to enhance usability and accessibility.
- Publish and manage content using documentation platforms and version control systems.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with product developments.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for different audiences (developers, DevOps teams, and technical decision-makers).
- Maintain consistency and quality in documentation through templates, style guides, and content reviews.
- Gather user feedback to improve documentation and address common pain points.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing for developer tools, SaaS, or cloud platforms.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics in a user-friendly way.
- Experience with Markdown, HTML, Git, and documentation tools (e.g., MkDocs, Docusaurus, ReadTheDocs).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, build systems, DevOps, or cloud computing (bonus: Bazel).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with API documentation (Swagger, OpenAPI).
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with developer communities and open-source projects.
