As part of our Global Services team, reporting to the Director of Customer Success, Support, and Education, you will collaborate closely with the Education Content Lead and Knowledge Manager to develop, enhance, and maintain documentation and training materials for the MindBridge AI platform.
The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and evolving user-facing product documentation for the MindBridge AI platform, including:
- Instructional guides
- Workflows
- Reference materials
- Infographics
- Release notes
- In-platform tutorials and copy
The position is primarily remote-based with the flexibility to attend in-person at our Ottawa office. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, creating, and editing product documentation to ensure clarity, conciseness, and adherence to standards.
- Developing end-user/customer-facing training materials.
- Championing clarity and accuracy, recommending, and implementing new documentation methods and formats to meet customer requirements.
- Maintaining MindBridge's platform and knowledge base style guides, quality, and accessibility standards.
- Collaborating with product managers, developers, UX designers, SMEs, and other stakeholders to update and improve UI content and product documentation.
- Creating and editing visual content to enhance documentation.
- Assisting customers in updating their internal technical guides to incorporate MindBridge technical guidance.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in technical writing in the software development industry.
- At least 1 year of experience working in the accounting profession or possessing strong knowledge of accounting operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation.
- Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in an Agile development environment and handling multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of information architecture and content modeling.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS).
- Proficiency in Zendesk, SharePoint, Atlassian, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience writing for accountants, specifically audit experience, is a plus.
- Additional written language skills (French, Spanish, or German) are a plus.
- Authorization to work in Canada.
- Background check required.
