Full-Time Technical Writer

• Using our content management system (SCHEMA ST4) to create and revise our technical documents, including user manuals, pre-installation requirements (PIRs), software manuals, and service information
• Creating graphics using SolidWorks composer and Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
• Independently researching and preparing technical information
• Ensuring that our technical documentation complies with relevant standards and regulations
• Translation management via CMS
• Keeping up to date with trends in technical documentation (e.g. multimedia documentation, tutorials) and providing input for the optimization of our processes and tooling (e.g. the usage of AI tools)

• A degree in technical writing, multimedia documentation, communication, translation, or related field
• A technical background with further training as a technical writer (e.g. TEKOM)
• A vocational training as a technician with several years of experience as a technical writer

• A high level of written and spoken English and German
• Initial experience or familiarity with industry-standard tools such as CMS (Schema ST4), SolidWorks Composer, Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects), etc.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills in order to work effectively with other departments
• The ability to quickly analyze and understand technical information and convey it clearly and effectively to a target group
• Prior professional experience in the field of technical documentation is an asset
• Good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g.: Machinery Directive)
