Full-Time Technical Writer I

What you'll do:

• Create, deliver, and maintain information explaining how to use our software products (in-app text, user guides, release notes, knowledge base articles, technical papers, infographics).
• Build a deep understanding of Jamf products and their role in customer success.
• Understand documentation sets, their purpose, target audience, and content.
• Understand Engineering and Agile delivery processes.
• Work with cross-functional Agile teams to learn new features and develop accurate content.
• Ensure content is usable, findable, and consistent with Jamf style guidelines.
• Learn and use content management systems (CMS) to format, compile, and publish content.
• Use Jira to capture and track work, Confluence to record research.
• Collaborate with technical writers to improve Agile technical writing processes.
• Onboard, educate, and mentor new technical writers as needed.
• Continuously improve technical communication skills.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a technical writer or communicator.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Business-level English proficiency.
• General experience with macOS and iOS (preferred).
• General experience in an Agile environment (preferred).
• Working knowledge of DITA XML and topic-based writing (preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4-year degree in Technical Writing, English, or related field (preferred).

Compensation:

• $46,800 - $99,800 USD per year.
