Technical Writer/Labeling Specialist
Develop and maintain global source technical writing for customer-facing packaging and labeling content (printed inserts, instructions for use, software strings micro-copy).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and content strategists to create packaging, labeling, and software strings for global product launches and updates within deadlines and budgets.
- Manage labeling development projects by identifying writing inputs, scoping changes, and considering impacts across global assets for production artwork handoff.
- Participate in meetings to discuss patient-centric content and obtain stakeholder approval for design output.
- Write clear, concise instructions for use of medical devices and apps, adhering to guidelines and collaborating with clinical teams for user understanding.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (FDA and other notified bodies).
- Support content strategies and best practices for consistency, content reuse, single-sourcing, and topic-based authoring.
- Ensure adherence to content models by coding XML-based source content (DITA) into component content management systems (CCMS).
- Foster positive client relations through collaborative reviews and providing constructive feedback for quality improvement.
- Execute compliant design development and change management processes (QMS).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Content Strategy, Medical Writing, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of technical writing experience, with a focus in pharmaceuticals or medical devices preferred.
- Knowledge of cardiac medicine preferred.
- Experience with structured authoring (especially DITA).
- Experience in the iterative design process.
- Experience working under regulatory and clinical restrictions preferred.
- Knowledge of UX design process preferred.

Salary range: $70,000-$90,000 (dependent on experience and location).
