Konecranes is seeking mechanically inclined individuals to become experienced electrical or mechanical technicians. Technicians work in a safety-first environment and work at heights on mechanical parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, modernization, and installation on electric overhead traveling cranes at a nuclear power plant.
- Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting.
- Document findings and provide safety summaries.
- Complete service reports and documents accurately.
- Maintain communication with the service office and supervisor.
- Maintain company equipment and vehicles safely.
- Follow safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Skills needed to perform the job well.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field is a plus.
- One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair of electric overhead cranes is required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license.
- Must be willing and able to work at elevations.
- Must be able to pass background checks.
- Must be able to work overtime and travel.
- 75-90% Travel required.

Vacation: 2 weeks of vacation per year (pro-rated for the first year depending on start date). 5-12 years of service, 3 weeks. 13+ years of service, 4 weeks.
