Job Details
You will create, source and write engaging TV content for various news brands.
Cover a variety of topics: live TV events, streaming show reviews, behind-the-scenes news, reality TV events. Ensure all content is thoroughly researched and complies with IPSO code.
Tell stories using diverse formats: real-time live blogs, features, first-person articles.
Utilize AI tools (in line with company policy) to optimize content creation, enhance accuracy, and improve efficiency.
Work evenings and weekends on a rota basis, including 1 weekend shift per month (potential for more during busier periods).
Required experience:
- Experienced NCTJ or equivalent qualified journalist (or relevant time served experience).
- Proven experience writing and publishing news content in a digital newsroom or magazine environment.
- Proven experience writing about TV and live TV coverage (highly desirable).
- Full of ideas and ahead of the curve regarding current hit series and upcoming trends.
- Optimize stories for digital SEO/Social strategies; write and edit in line with digital house style; identify unique headlines and angles.
Skills include:
- Understanding current hit TV series and industry trends.
- Ability to write and edit content in line with digital house style.
