Job Details
Value Optimization Engineer (VOE) is responsible for planning, validating, and implementing cost reduction ideas.
Collaborates with engineers, suppliers, vehicle integration, purchasing, quality, finance, etc. on thorough evaluation, validation, and presentation of recommended ideas.
Supports System Responsible/Design Responsible in summarizing system/commodity level savings.
Generates and organizes ideas for system-level proposals.
Partners with engineering and suppliers to implement value optimization ideas.
Adheres to product development principles (functional objectives, DFMEA, DVP&R).
Understands corporate and competitive products for benchmarking, read-across, and best practice.
Reports to the Global VO Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred, Chemical considered).
- 3+ years of proven experience in an engineering team.
- Proven project management experience.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Preferable:
- Cross-functional team experience (Purchasing, Quality, Suppliers, Manufacturing, Finance).
- Cost savings experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, and goal-oriented.
