Full-Time Value Optimization Engineer - Electrical

The Value Optimization Engineer (VOE) plans, validates, and implements cost reduction ideas to meet Value Optimization Savings targets.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with engineers, suppliers, vehicle integration, purchasing, quality, finance, etc. to evaluate, validate, and present cost reduction ideas and business cases.
• Supports System Responsible (SR) / Design Responsible (DR) in summarizing system/commodity savings, including potential vehicle-level savings for electrical components.
• Generates and organizes ideas for system-level proposals.
• Partners with engineering and suppliers to schedule the implementation of value optimization ideas.
• Adheres to product development principles (functional objectives, DFMEA, DVP&R).
• Understands corporate and competitive products for benchmarking and best practice analysis.
• Reports to the Global VO Manager/Drivers and refers to the NA Coordinator for HVAC and Engine Systems requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred, Chemical acceptable).
• 3 years of proven experience on an engineering team.
• Proven project management experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Preferable:

• Experience working with cross-functional teams (Purchasing, Quality, Suppliers, Manufacturing, Finance).
• Cost savings experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, and goal-oriented.

Location: Mexico
