The Workday Integration Architect is responsible for architecting, researching, designing, developing over 100 complex Workday integrations!
This role involves working with HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Recruiting/LMS teams to manage and support several Workday integrations.
You'll coordinate client interviews, vendor meetings to produce detailed specifications. You'll write integration code to move data in and out of the WD system.
You will work closely with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements and conduct unit tests and document findings.
This individual must apply strategic and creative thinking, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Understand database architecture, tables, functional interactions, and recognize impacts to downstream systems
- Lead initiatives to analyze business problems, recommend technology-based solutions.
- Support multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations based on company needs
- Provide technical direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities
- Lead the strategic planning, architecture, design, development, deployment, and support of new applications/integrations
- Ensure cybersecurity controls, backup and DR plans are implemented, updated, and maintained.
- Ensure solutions integrate with other functional areas while promoting standardization
- Understand business problems and opportunities, recommend solutions
- Report status of projects to leadership
- Identify and resolve day-to-day business issues
- Work with end users and analysts to fulfill project requests
- Provide ongoing support on "break-fix" issues for new applications
- Produce high-quality documentation
- Manage enhancement requests, testing during implementation, acceptance, installation, deployment
- Work with vendors for troubleshooting and new technology evaluation
- Collaborate with associates on projects and tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Strong expertise in Workday Integrations and implementation tools (EIB, Workday Report Writer, Workday Cloud Connect, Calculated fields and Workday Studio)
- Proficient in Workday core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance and Benefits
- Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards)
- Technical experience with XML and XSLT
- Strong change management skills
- Good understanding of project management methodologies (Agile)
- Data analysis skills
- Data cleansing knowledge
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
