Full-Time Accountant

Accountant Role

• Financial Transaction Management:
• Prepare and maintain financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles.
• Conduct analytical, evaluative, and advisory work requiring an understanding of accounting theory and practice.

Accounting Expertise:

• Utilize knowledge of fundamental doctrines, theories, principles, and terminology of accountancy.
• Understand related fields such as business law, statistics, and general management
• Analyze the effects of transactions on account relationships.
• Evaluate alternative means of treating transactions.
• Plan the development or modification of account structures.
• Project accounting data to show the effects of proposed plans on capital investments, income, cash position, and overall financial condition.
• Interpret the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements.
• Advise operating officials on accounting matters.
• Accounting Operations Management:
• Oversee and manage accounting operations, including domestic and global AR/AP, GL, fixed assets, month-end close, payment approvals, reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and monthly consolidated financials.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and reporting by class.
• Perform balance sheet account corrections and reconciliations.
• Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Analyze cash flow.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Monitor and administer the Employee Stock Option Plan.
• Process retirement allocations in benefits packages.
• Monitor ERISA compliance.
• Tax and Vendor Relations:
• Manage customer and vendor relations.
• Handle 1099 and tax-related matters for ERP systems.
• Work with the CFO on special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in accounting or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and advisory skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with employee stock option plans and retirement allocations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for advising operating officials on accounting matters.
