bunny.net is where individual imaginations gather together to solve next-generation internet challenges. Join a team of experts and, together, help shape the future of the internet. Here, you'll do more than join something — you'll add something.
We’re not just saying that — our culture really hops. Our values enable our fluffle to grow stronger with each new team member: we do our best work when we’re curious, take initiative, and chase ideas that feel just a little bit impossible. We obsess over our customers, aim higher every day, and always collaborate with a sense of fun, ownership, and care.
All roles at bunny.net are fully remote with flexible schedules — work from wherever you hop best.
We’re looking for a hands-on, startup-savvy Accountant to join our Finance team and help us streamline processes, close month-end books, and support our growing business across Europe.
If you're excited about accounting in a rapidly evolving environment, thrive on autonomy, and bring deep knowledge of IFRS and startup financial operations, we’d love to hear from you.
Location: Anywhere in Europe (experience with Slovenian accounting or based in Slovenia is a plus but not required).
What will you do?
- Own the month-end reporting process for our European entities, with a particular focus on our Slovenian entity.
- Review and process payment runs and ensure they are approved promptly.
- Review and process payroll journals.
- Process the accounts payable, adding as much automation as possible along the way.
- Handle some ad-hoc tasks, such as dealing with option grants/exercises and the consequent filing and taxation.
- Improve the processes we use so they're frictionless, effective, and precise.
What will you add?
- A professional accounting qualification (such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred, along with a strong understanding of IFRS reporting standards.
- Proven ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations using NetSuite.
- Previous experience working in a startup or high-growth tech environment.
- The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external parties such as lawyers, banks, accounting, and audit firms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize effectively based on both business impact and external deadlines.
What will make us extra happy?
- Experience with Slovenian financial compliance and reporting requirements, including VAT returns, Q OSS reports, Banka Slovenia reports (KRD, BST), statistical filings, Intrastat, AJPES quarterly reports (CPPS, SFR), annual reports, and USST filings.
- Familiarity with SaaS business operations and the ability to forecast key financial metrics such as ARR, MRR, and CLTV.
- Experience working with subsidiaries, multi-currency organizations, and non-Slovenian financial reporting standards.
- Knowledge of income tax, labor laws, social benefits, pension contributions, social security, and travel reimbursement policies in one or more European countries.
