About the Role: DroneSense is seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Specialist to scale finance operations. This role is critical to our Order-to-Cash process, ensuring timely order entry, invoicing, and collections. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Verify deal information across systems for accuracy.
- Enter partner purchase orders and build sales transactions.
- Create and sync invoices across systems.
- Ensure timely invoice delivery to customers and partners, following up if needed.
- Track down Accounts Payable contacts and re-send invoices.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to manage customer contacts and address payment issues, especially ahead of QBRs.
- Communicate with customers to request payments or arrange payment plans.
- Maintain detailed notes on invoicing and collections progress in accounting tools.
- Generate reports and balance sheets on collections.
- Keep client information updated.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Ops, and Customer Success teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, with focus on order entry, invoicing, and collections.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping processes.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Maxio (formerly SaaS Optics) is a plus.
- Experience with CRMs (HubSpot or Salesforce).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PowerPoint is a plus).
- Strong teamwork skills.
