We are on the lookout for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the retail industry. The role will be based in Delray Beach, Florida and offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. The chosen candidate will be required to work in a hybrid model, with initial in-office training followed by a combination of remote and in-office work.
Responsibilities:
• Processing and matching purchase orders with vendor receipts
• Using Master Pack software to maintain and update accounts payable information
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in accounts payable
• Working with e-commerce platforms to manage accounts payable
• Handling customer inquiries related to accounts payable
• Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices using Concur
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary
• Continuously updating and maintaining accurate customer credit records
• Ensuring all accounts payable activities align with the retail industry standards
• Utilizing skills in Big Box Retail, Retail Wholesale, and e-commerce to enhance accounts payable operations.
Requirements
• Proven experience in the role of Accounts Payable Specialist within the retail industry
• Proficiency in using Concur software for expense management
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Big Box Retail operations
• Familiarity with Retail Wholesale business processes
• Prior working experience in an e-commerce environment
• Comprehensive understanding of e-Commerce business models
• Demonstrated skills in managing Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively
• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and detail oriented manner
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
