We are seeking an Accounts Payable Technician, reporting to the Chief Accountant and working with the accounting team at the head office in Les Cèdres, near Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Responsibilities:
- Review invoices before entry.
- Process payments (checks, transfers, wires).
- Match invoices to checks, obtain signatures, and distribute checks.
- Ensure all payables are authorized.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
- Resolve issues and take immediate action.
- Prepare month-end accruals.
- Verify and approve vendor payment instructions.
- Replace accounting team members during time off.
- Reconcile credit card payments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum CEGEP DEC in Accounting or Finance.
- Preferably 2 years' experience.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required.
- Proficient with Excel (advanced features); knowledge of AS400 is an asset.
- Self-starter, good communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented.
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 100% in-person.
