Job Details
Advanced Purchaser (AP) leads the planning and execution of component sourcing and acts as the interface to the purchasing categories.
- Material Strategy: Actively participate in the material strategy development derived from the BA technology roadmap and translate this into a tangible strategy input for category management.
- Global Coordination: Key contact to global platform development, early involvement in new material/technology development.
- Supply Base Monitoring: Continuous monitoring of the supply base of given Key Component
- Strategy Definition: Definition of supply base strategy for 3-5 years and Alignment with Product Line leader and PUR management
- Supplier Introduction: Searching and Evaluation of new suppliers based on business needs and Coordinating with CAT PUR and SQM to introduce targeted suppliers
- Sourcing Overview: Hosting an overview of all ongoing sourcings on Key Component in all regions
