Full-Time Applied Legal Researcher

EvenUp is seeking an exceptional legal professional to join our Knowledge Management & Applied Research Team as an Applied Legal Researcher. This role requires an SME in personal injury litigation, collaborating with engineering, product, and design teams to shape legal technology.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and expand EvenUp's knowledge base for high-quality legal documents for personal injury claims.
2. Collaborate with product, data science, and machine learning teams to improve product offerings and tackle legal automation challenges.
3. Design and refine case-specific templates and support firm/state-level customization.
4. Conduct legal research on liability and damages, monitor legal changes, and mentor the Legal Operations Team.
5. Lead quality assurance efforts, benchmark development, and prompt engineering for model evaluation and fine-tuning.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation, understanding first and third-party bad faith claims.
• Strong legal drafting skills, including demands, medical summaries, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
• Excellent attention to detail in written communication.
• Comprehensive understanding of personal injury law across various states (statutory & common law).
