AR Manager Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Management team, the AR Manager handles claim processing, correspondence with physician practices, and SalesForce case resolution.
Key Duties:
- Manages accounts receivable (AR), analyzes aged AR for issues, creates rules to prevent errors.
- Manages denial management, investigating denial reasons, resolving, and appealing denials, potentially contacting payers.
- Independently decides on claim adjustments, resubmissions, appeals, and resolution.
- Collaborates with internal teams (Performance, Operations, Sales) and care center staff.
- Supports care center go-lives, potentially involving overnight travel.
- Collaborates with Revenue Optimization to ensure reimbursement aligns with payer contracts.
- Performs denial analysis using Trizetto.
- Works with practice consultants/physicians for optimal revenue cycle function.
- Drives towards department KPIs, requiring a team-focused approach.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years experience in physician medical billing office
- Experience with major payers (Anthem, Medicare/Medicaid, United Healthcare)
- Athena EHR experience (preferred)
- Understanding of revenue cycle optimization drivers
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- HIPAA compliance knowledge

Technical Requirements (Remote):

Salary & Benefits:
Base pay: $23.00 - $29.00/hour, plus potential 10% annual bonus and restricted stock units. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and wellness programs. Expense reimbursement is available for remote workers.
