Job Details
AECOM is seeking an Archaeology Technician for immediate employment in our Sacramento, CA office. This is a remote, on-call position.
The Archaeological Technician primarily performs fieldwork under supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff.
- May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data.
- Assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment.
- Inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.
- Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories under supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate + 2 years of relevant experience.
Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience with field methodologies.
- Completion of an archaeological field school is highly desired.
- Experience with Geospatial technology including GPS and GIS.
- Computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
